"I support the warfighter. I help them defeat the IED as a weapon of strategic influence. I help mommies, daddies, daughters and sons come home alive from a war being fought to . . . ummm, what are we doing there again"
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Chug the Kool-Aid, be a retired O-6 and prepare to suck up to the chain of command while suppressing (or taking credit for) innovation from below."
What don't you like about working at Joint IED Defeat Organization?
"Nepotism and patronage prevail. Political correctness is stifling. Former military (who are now civilians) pull rank and conspire against career civilians. We've got several GG-15s with under five years experience each . . . all of whom served together previously."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Fire those who use their personality disporders as management strategies. Hold them accountable for their verbal abuse and theatening behaviors."
