"Take the good with the bad...it's a job"
What do you like about working at Masimo?
"Innovation at Masimo is amazing! Cutting edge technology and product lines. Pay is great and most people are great to work with."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be prepared to be interviewed by managers or peers that really lack the knowledge or experience to be sitting across the table from you. Again, only know Ops area. So if you're in manufacturing or quality...good luck as these areas are the worst, procurement is good, but some of the people are hard to deal with. Warehouse only uses a temps."
What don't you like about working at Masimo?
"Office politics/ agendas and a severe lack of effective leadership. There are more titled managers and directors than staff, so you have an issue where everyone is a manager or director and nothing gets done. Senior management is incapable of sound decision making, more interested in creating their own empires. If you cross the wrong person- your career there is done. Only area in Ops that seems happy or works as a team, is the supply chain and warehouse areas, the management appear to have a clue, not so for the most of Ops. Not sure about other departments - although Engineering runs Masimo."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Put the egos down, roll up the sleeves and let the talent you have lead their areas and make decisions and then hold them accountable."
What do you like about working at WaMu?
"The culture of company, opportunity to grow, excellent benefits, excellent management."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Because the company no longer exists due to financial crises in 2008/2009, I cannot give tips to anyone to work for Washington Mutual."
What don't you like about working at WaMu?
"In my opinion there was nothing negative. That is why I worked to the end day of the company."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Treat employees with respect like customers, always control cost and be creative to increase revenues."

"This Co. is one big family. They care. They want u to excel. They are great"

"The Co. Wants you to excel and will either train me or have me trained so that I can progress."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"You better do your homework. You better know what were allo about because our CEO is as sharp as a whip. And DO NOT lie to him. He will know. Its way better to admit you just dont know about something than to try to bluff and have him tie you into a corner."
What don't you like about working at Packet Fusion?
"Sometimes management doesnt have any idea what it takes to get a job or task done."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Pay attention to what your workers are saying to you. Were not slacking off. If we say it will take this long we truely believe it will take that long. And we dont need you to micromanage our every move. We know what to do, if we dont we will ask."

"Do your research first and talk to people who are currently or have been in the military for advice, input, and why they like and/or dont like the military"

"Stressful working conditions (when out to sea), too much time away from home, even harder when you have a family."

"Listen to their peers, help them, and be part of the team"

"Flexible schedules, I am lucky to have a good supervisor."

"If you are looking for a job with a stable company with nice people, I would recommend Oxford. If you are looking for a career, I would look elsewhere."
What don't you like about working at Oxford Industries?
"There are not very many opportunities for advancement. Even when people leave the company, they do not fill the positions, they redistribute the work load on others."

"I would give the people who want to learn and do well the opportunity to do so."

"I like the variety of the job, challenges to work on, and analytical functions."

"Be prepared to deal with a high school environment that gets old fast."

"My dislikes are: too many roadblocks, too much micromanagement, not the right resources given, no clear direction given, and setting up to fail."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Listen to the people who do the job, reduce upper management, get rid of micromanagement, and reduce roadblocks."

"Low key, casual, set hours and they don't care if you leave on time or stay past your set hours."

"Realize that the job that you are applying for is going to be the job that you may have for the next 10-20 years."
What don't you like about working at DSV?
"Because I am not Danish and work for a Danish company, the opportunities for advancement are very limited."

"I would attempt to acquire other companies in the US that provide direct warehousing and supply chain solutions (as DSV Solutions does in most of Europe)."

"There is great job security, and great benefits and retirement."

"Be prepared to work the same job for the rest of your life."

"There is No origination and no direction, management seems lost most of the time."

"I would get rid of the union and hold people accountable."

"Supportive coworkers, responsive chain of command, clear paths to advancement"

"It's the military. Make sure you are comfortable taking orders, especially if you're coming in at the bottom. You are responsible for your progress. No one is going to hold your hand."
What don't you like about working at United States Coast Guard?
"Military is slow to adapt to change. That means it's not always easy to get new ideas out that improve work environments."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"There needs to be a better culture of support for new CG members."

"My possition is not very difficult and not very stressful."

"Don't get stuck in the same job for a long time like I did."

"My job is so mindless, I would prefer to be challenged a bit more. And to make more money obviously."

"I would put more of a focus on the employees and not on the bottom line."

"It was the most horrible environment I was ever a part of."
What do you like about working at Illumina?
"The team I worked with directly was great. We supported each other as best we could in what was a degrading, political mismanaged horrible workplace"
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Pass this place up. You will be expected to work way beyond full time hours and the reward will only be that you get to keep your job (you may even be told this, regardless of whether you are a good or bad employee). This place treats people like objects, and your career will see no benefit unless you are a political brown noser."
What don't you like about working at Illumina?
"Company is top-heavy run by political hacks with no real skill. Hard work and quality will get you nowhere, and kissing up is the only way to move up here. Zero regard for one's personal life and unethical treatment of employees who are not in executive management or sales."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Revamp the entire structure. You have created a toxic environment that is nothing more than a perversion of what the company once stood for. Your employment base resents you and with good reason. Be accountable for the horrible decisions and negligance that you are directly responsible for. Reign in sales, they are out of control and unbelievably unethical."
