"Understaffed at times, politics involved, not as much support from administration"

"To look into productivity and see that quality is compromised by quantity so be mindful of it"

"I enjoyed providing patients one-on-one support and comfort during their hospital visit. It was rewarding and made me feel of use during my time spent as a volunteer in the hospital."

"Students interviewing with this company should make sure that they can volunteer effectively. You must be compassionate about what you do when there is no compensation involved in the job. Be happy in the hospital even under extremely depressing conditions."

What don't you like about working at Mercy Hospital?

"I did not like that nurses sometimes had a superiority complex where they did not request help from interns who they considered to be beneath them."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Management should direct the nurses to utilize the interns and try to teach them more about medicine instead of neglecting them. This way both parties have a better interaction and possibly improve the state of the medical wing of the hospital."

What do you like about working at Mercy Hospital?

"I enjoy the culture of mercy that the upper upper managment has tried to create. I enjoyed the sisters. but I think we need to remember our true mission more often."

"The Mercy fit assesment is very important. Lay it on thick about how much you just want to help others."

What don't you like about working at Mercy Hospital?

"My direct supervisor does not allow me any freedom to actually manage those under me. any disputes in my area are treated as peer to peer disputes and she has fostered an environment where people don't repspect what I say because she will make it all better for them."

"I can't fairly determine that... I have no idea what the CEO is actually responsible for."

"I like the vision and mission that surrounds the faith based ministry."

"The Mercy fit assesment is big... tell them how devoted you are to the Mercy Mission."

"Non supportive upper managment. While the Mission is talked about alot, it's rarely actually upheld."

"To allow your supervisors to supervise. There are times that it is appropriate to let things that don't directly effect patient care slide."

"I was with this hospital for 10 years and was given my first chance at management. This experience allowed me to advance not only myself but the field in which I was involved."

"organization is closed. Could probably interview with Promedica if openings are available."

"I can't think of anything I did not like about Mercy Hospital. I was young and the growth was mine for the taking."

"The hospital is now closed but the management team when I was employed was terrific."

"This company has had a great deal of growth and invests heavily in infrastructure giving me hands on experience with the latest technologies."

"I would advise applicants to this company to be ready to work hard and quickly - there is tremendous growth happening."

"No career path growth is available to me at this time."
