"I enjoyed providing patients one-on-one support and comfort during their hospital visit. It was rewarding and made me feel of use during my time spent as a volunteer in the hospital."

"Students interviewing with this company should make sure that they can volunteer effectively. You must be compassionate about what you do when there is no compensation involved in the job. Be happy in the hospital even under extremely depressing conditions."

What don't you like about working at Mercy Hospital?

"I did not like that nurses sometimes had a superiority complex where they did not request help from interns who they considered to be beneath them."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Management should direct the nurses to utilize the interns and try to teach them more about medicine instead of neglecting them. This way both parties have a better interaction and possibly improve the state of the medical wing of the hospital."
