"Extremely exciting and very challenging work, the company has great opportunities with great opportunities."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"While the company can be a great place to work at, I would recommend considering something else until after the economy recovers. The company has laid off approximately 20,000 employee in the past three years and is in the middle of a new round of layoffs."

What don't you like about working at Lockheed Martin?

"The company is a good place to work, however with the current down turn in the economy and the additional defense budget cuts the company is in its third year of layoffs with no end in sight."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Basically to get their act together, they do not seem to value their employees experience or at least they give the impression that the feel that they can just hire anyone off the street to do these engineering jobs."

"Know that personnel are divided into classes. Class 1: graduate from LDP program, Class 2: Ex military, Class 3: people who have worked a project or program for years.If you are not in one of these three classes, if the market slows down, start looking for another job."

"In a contracting market, they do not see labor as a resource to invest in. If you are not a graduate of the LDP program, you should be looking for another job."
