"Good place to work. Enjoyed the people I worked with. Convenient location to work from."
"Based on my experience at Kaiser, I learned that one could not achieve anything without good health."
"Kaiser is growing quickly and dealing with a rapid rate of change. This creates opportunity. Planning is very, very good as a result, project execution and budget can be challenging. While at Kaiser I had a new manager (7) about each of my eight years. I feel human resources has an agenda that is aligned with business (spend time on administrative tasks) and not with technology. This leads to limiting technology oriented people. Kaiser engages contractors to solve the technology schism."
"I have worked for Kaiser as a pharmacy assistant for over 2 years and I love this place. The system is very easy to learn and the people who work here are all amazing. Plus the benefits are great!"
"Kaiser Permanente is an OK working environment. But the management of the organization seems to be operating about 7 years behind current development industry trends. At least the team I was working on. But according to the other coworkers I worked with that had been working for them for up to 15 years. This was a common issue. But if you are just looking for an OK place to work they are great. But if you want a forward thinking and exciting place to work. I don't think they are a good match."
"They need a major change in all organization."
"A good company with a strong work ethic, but very fickle in the marketing area - too many reorganizations in a short time."
"I think Kaiser Permanente is a good company with great benefits."
"I have worked at Kaiser Permanente since 2007. I find that they are a great place to work for. They have molded me into the worker I am today..."
"I've worked for KP-IT since 2006. KP may be a leader in healthcare IT, however, still lot of room for improvement. Lots of very smart people there, however, their qualities are not always fully used due to turf-wars and politics."
"Loved working at Kaiser because of how professional the environment is and how well mannered and respectful the staff is."
"KP always seems like a great employer, but unfortunately if you are not a licensed (RN/MD) or Union layoffs are frequent. This is a very bureaucratic government like organization that makes decisions in secret and targets employees management does not like. I have seen very successful and capable people disappear from KP never to be heard from again."
"While my companies try to meet every need they are highly political and sometimes cut throat. I would enjoy working for a company that has better internal communication, and supports my desire to grow and take on additional responsibilities."
"I've worked for UHC/OptumRx little over 4 years and after a year and half later, got a promotion and was able to move two pay grades up. This is a big enough company where you can move to different departments to learn and built more skills and experiences."
"Kaiser is a sweat shop. It focuses on saving money and has no leadership. Managers are slave drivers and you have no one to complain to. If you are a contractor you either shut up or get fired. In Pasadena, they supply coffee and tea but no cups! The conference rooms have no equipment, no technical support, wireless internet does not work most of the time."
