"Great place to work, but very hard to get a job."
"Great company, inclusive."
"I have worked for Kaiser Permanente for 12 years as a Java programmer. The company is extremely process-heavy, and it can take more than 5 resources to do even a simple deployment (and sometimes more than 20 if there are a lot of components involved). It has a great mission and vision but believes its employees can easily be replaced by offshore contractors. It feels like it is impossible to improve things, as one's time is spent in meetings, busy work, ancillary corporate training, and handling emergency requests. The company is unwilling to spend money on tools to proactively monitor and address issues before they happen and rely on FTEs and offshore resources to work long hours on something that could have been easily avoided."
"The work environment is really great and people definitely tried to help to network around the organization and understand other projects that is going on for better opportunities."
"Good pay, but micromanagement can sometimes get to you"
