"I love the hands-on technical aspect of being a technician, and thoroughly enjoy the constant growth in technology and educational opportunities. I would prefer though to have more hands-on with the Information Technology systems side of the house as I move forward with my career."
"I like my job here because there's always new things to learn and the location and rigs are different. You learn a lot from them."
"New challenges every time I open a circuit."
"I love to help people. I'm a people person. The things I hate about electronics technician is the work that you have to do at times, but overall love what I do."
"Love: Fixing things, building things, from idea to reality. That is the most satisfying feeling in the world. Hate: convincing management of the right tools needed to do the job and/or faster, the investment vs. the payout is the toughest aspect to overcome. The other view is the manager outsourcing all of the hired help to boost the company bottom line, or in this case to eliminate the employees that will receive bonuses in exchange for higher cost in contract labor. I am in the class of workers that take pride in being a member of the company, not hired guns."
"Even though I work on the simulators in this company I find that it is outdated equipment. It is very difficult to propose ways to improve the systems because the process is not in place that such things would be possible to do."
"Something different everyday! Training is provided as required. The ability to interact with everybody from nurses to doctors is great! Satisfaction of knowing you are helping somebody stay alive."
"I like to have problems in the production line, because every day I learn new things and I can develop my knowledge."
"I like the work that I do. I did not really hate anything about my job or this company."
"I love working with electronics, computers especially. As an Electronics Technician, the amount of computer work is limited. I do not like working with radar."
"I really do like the work. I like fixing and repairing submarines and allowing them to go to sea and perform their duties. I have a family now and I am just not prepared anymore to go on long 6 or 7 month deployments. Being away from my family for that long is not something that I am willing to do at this stage of my life."
"I have always been fascinated by electronics and enjoy working on them. The troubleshooting and repair of electronics is a fulfilling and interesting activity for me."
"As an Electronics Technician you have the great pleasure of working with your hands and the results of your completed work drives you to continue working. This is a job for a results-driven individual and one who loves to think critically and use their experiences to troubleshoot and fix broken electronic systems."
"I love the work. What do I hate There isn't anything I hate about. This is what I was born to do."
