"The actual job of being a truck driver was great. The biggest thing I learned which I wish I would of learned in trucking school is if you work for a terrible company like TMC they will screw you over and make sure you can not get rehired anywhere as a truck driver."

"The hardest part to being a driver is the long boring times on the road where your lost in your thoughts. Also the outrageous tickets that you may acquire. I think the best part is being able to drive the tractors and forklifts. The best part of sales is being able to meet your quota and to do better than you did last time. The bad part of sales is the long preparation for the short period of time to sale."

"Being a driver is a good position which I enjoyed because I was able to deliver such great positive and inspirational attitudes to the clients which the company serves. The thing I disliked about it is that we didn't have enough resources to provide services for all the clients that needed our services."

Driver at NPC International
in Smyrna, GA

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"Horrible. One of the worst decisions I have ever made."

What do you like about working at NPC International?

"I can not think of one thing that I like about this business."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Do not interview with NPC, it's a trap with no way out."

What don't you like about working at NPC International?

"I worked for Pizza Hut under corporate both as a delivery driver and a shift manager. In the 13 years I worked for corporate I earned $16 to $18 an hour delivering pizza and $10 an hour as a shift manager. As a shift manager I was able to stop thousands upon thousands of stolen cash and inventory. The numbers I ran either met or exceeded company standards. I also obtained a business degree at my expense during that time. After I graduated from college I took a job elsewhere. Corporate does not promote front line employees. In 2009 I lost my job and returned to Pizza Hut. Since I left in my three year absence the market was sold and is currently owned by NPC International, Inc. When I returned I was reinstated at my old pay rate. I did not take a position as a shift manager because it's too much work for too little pay and as a driver made great money, with flexible hours, which would leave me time to job hunt. Business was down when I returned in 2010, but I thought it would pick up as time went on and the consumer confidence improved. Business did pick up slightly, but the money in tips did not return. The first indicator that NPC International is an unethical business to work for came when the manager who rehired me was fired from her job because she needed surgery and would be out for several months recovering. The manager who replaced that person openly discriminated against me based on my sex. After six months of working with the area manager and human resources I got a transfer to another location, but only after I threatened to go to the EEOC. The store manager retained his position. The manager I now work under is young, inexperienced, and sees things based exclusively on race and sex. I have heard repeatedly that white people are this, and black people are like that. He has told me more than once I do things the way I do because I white, even after explaining to him that people do things the way they do because of the person they are, not for any other reason. He also has made comments to other female co-workers that are sexist and discriminatory about now women don't want to do the work, but men do. I was required to do so much work that I asked my area manager to double my wages. Ultimately I was injured on the job because of my workload and was told by the store manager that I was lying about it. I was given medical treatment under workers comp, but only because of the area manager. I approached the human resource leader for any position that is not at store level. I was told submit my resume to open positions on the YUM Brand website and good luck. NPC does not post positions on their website. I asked to set up a meeting, so we could discuss my skills and job openings. She never responded. It six months and counting I am still working injured. The medical treatment could not fully fix my injury. Two months afterward my wages were cut in half with the explanation it was to remain competitive. My take home checks are now half of what those once were. It has been two months since my pay cut. I can no longer afford to pay my rent and utilities. I have very little food in my refrigerator and when that runs out I have no money to buy food with. No one cares. NPC International, Inc and Jim Schwartz the CEO could care less that his front line workers end up hungry and homeless as long as the company is raking in millions in profits and he gets even richer."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Start viewing your store level employees as human beings, not costly assets and worthless sub-humans."

Driver at Domino's Pizza

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"So far terrible thinking about quiting never going back...."

What do you like about working at Domino's Pizza?

"You can be bumped up higher, and that's about it."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"I really hope if you're going to be a driver you know you will not be trained on the front or driving, you will be thrown to the dogs! Please listen."

What don't you like about working at Domino's Pizza?

"My store is soooooo slow, drivers fight over driving and I'm new there, rude!!! And do not want to train you. I'm telling you they don't want to help you. I cried my eyes out today, I only made 2$ all night because all everyone did was fight over who was going out. It sucks, like I've never felt so upset working for a place, and I'm not really good at Domino's. I've never been a driver before but like I said, I'm new and I've cried like 4 times on the road because I know how they are when we are late, but my GPS sucks, makes me late :((, and my boss doesn't really care. Probably why the store's losing money so bad."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Take the time to spend with the crew, try to up sell on every order and help when needed."

Driver at Aquatic Bath
in Yelm, WA

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"Good - don't get me wrong, it's a good company if they get the proper people."

What do you like about working at Aquatic Bath?

"Being on the open road and our customers who keep us drivers having a job for the time being!"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Once Merritt transportation gets out of here and a new fleet coordinator it will once again be a wonderful place to work for!"

What don't you like about working at Aquatic Bath?

"Fleet management is incompetent, not trustworthy. Lies to cover screw ups, paints those of us who complain out to be trouble makers. Leader has no idea how to take command of her fleet in a positive professional manner. Now us as drivers are made out to be trouble makers due to her inability to lead and think for herself. So she let her driver trainer due her thinking . Things hit the fan. Of course she threw him under the bus but she was in on it also and her Boss knows it. But he did deserve what he got. LOL! But the family atmosphere here disappeared when she came in and it has been down hill from there!"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Replace the fleet coordinator with someone who will not let drivers sit in her office for hours listening and looking at people personal information on her desk! And leaving there truck idling for long periods of time. Someone who can give direction that they themselves thought of. And treat every driver with the dignity and respect we all deserve!"

"This company has lost it's family atmosphere. Fleet is in a shambles."

What do you like about working at Aquatic Bath?

"The customers! And some employees. It used to be the money."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Stay away! They have brought in meritt transportation to replace company drivers in yelm wa. To replace company drivers. Morale is really low! Thank you aquatic for your loyalty to your very fine company drivers. With bad management and there bad managerial attitude towards the best 9 company drivers you have."

What don't you like about working at Aquatic Bath?

"The management. The dispatch fleet coordinator is bad for the moral of drivers - nothing but problems. She lies about the drivers and the miles. She will throw you under the bus to make herself look good. And her boss doesn't care about her incompetence. Which says that his boss doesn't care also."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Get rid of incompetent fleet management from the top down!"

Driver at Gazelle Transportation
in Casper, WY

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"Company is more concerned about what looks good, than actual productivity."

What do you like about working at Gazelle Transportation?

"Pay is great during the boom times, management has no idea how to handle the up and down cycle of oil field work. Their solution is to get you travel to another field, and take work away from the local drivers there."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Do not believe the wages they tell you. Be ready to be told half truths, and to starve during the slow downs that happen in oil production."

What don't you like about working at Gazelle Transportation?

"Micro-management. At the interview, say they want people with integrity, but they allow favorite employees to break all corporate rules with no consequences. Makes for a back-stabbing environment. Seniority means nothing with this company. They over-hire, then give the loads to the new drivers, to spread the wealth."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Stop the hiring of drivers not needed. Recognize seniority, and take care of the drivers that helped start the region. Need to reign in local king style managers, and keep up with the maintenance of the tractors and trailers. Spec equipment for the fields, not on what looks good."

"the company is growing, but not managing the growth efficiently"

What do you like about working at Gazelle Transportation?

"The pay has been good during the boom, but management has no idea what to do during the slow periods."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you don not want to work nights, don't apply"

What don't you like about working at Gazelle Transportation?

"Local manager is trying to micro manage everyone, and will not allow people to do their jobs without his interference. Never know what he will blow up about."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"To only hire the number of drivers needed, stop the over hiring, and reign in the local manager who thinks he is king."

Driver at Renzenberger
in Peoria, IL

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"A person of honestly, loyalty and integrity will find this company detestable."

What do you like about working at Renzenberger?

"Driving a van to railroad sidings in the middle of nowhere in the middle of night in a thunderstorm can be exhilarating!"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Seriously, you've seen other reviews of this nature at this and dozens of other sites like it. When they fire me--and they have told me they will if I don't comply with their mental illness-driven nature--I will look forward to flipping burgers at a fast food place."

What don't you like about working at Renzenberger?

"Be prepared to be accused of horrendous things you wouldn't even think aboutdoing, abused on a daily basis by Dispatchers and your own local management, refused to be paid for the actual mileage you're doing and threatened--sometimes more than twice a day with termination--especially if you take their bullcrap about safety first seriously. Be prepared to be yelled at and screamed at if you think reporting bald tires or a headlight out should be fixed! Be prepared to see your working schedule manipulated by managers in favoritism of kiss-asses, women and family members who will always get better trips, better vans and better working hours."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Stop abusing employees, stop falsifying DOT records, start paying what you promised new hires, start taking better care of vehicles that--in their present condition--can kill drivers and railroad workers. Stop lying and most of all, stop staying Safety First when every corner of the company is clearly not interested in safety."
