"Dell can be a great place to work. I have hopes for its future, and at this point my only advice is to investigate each opportunity and organization to determine if it is a good role. Dell is so big, your experience will vary widely based on the individual organization."

"The brutal truth"

What do you like about working at Dell?

"The first two years at Dell, 1995-1997 was the best work experience of my life. The following three, particularly when the layoffs began, were the worst in my life. I made the decision to leave the company 1 month after the 3rd round of layoffs in 2000 to work full time as a vendor to Dell and other companies."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"With Dell Be honest with yourself about whether or not you fit into their culture, if so, enjoy the ride. If not, run, don't walk."
