"I have worked on the Boeing contract for over 3 years and it is on the path of constant change and a very high paced position working on the helpdesk. Now Dell has gone private don't know which direction the company is going to go but has been a very challenging experience for me. I would not recommend for a long term job, but only to get the experience and then move onward to better things."

"Better be emotionally stoic, inside and out. You will watch excellent agents be thrown under the bus, and you will need to be able to not react if it should happen to you."

What don't you like about working at Dell?

"Over-competitive. Poorly-devised and out-of-date tier-system is used to rank agents. Doing your best for weeks suddenly becomes no-good-at-all on the last week, due to a quietly changed policy."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Agent-Quality-Audits must peer-review for agent quality metrics. Policy-Quality-Audits must be implemented to analyze resulting Quality-Audit metric trends."

"Be prepared to handle stress because it is a very stressful environment."

"It was temporary with a chance to be permanent. Although I had better stats than others, I was not chosen to bring on permanently. Where others with worse stats were hired."

"Be more fair in evaluating permanent employees. If you are going to keep stats use them appropriately."
