"The people. From the receptionist to our Sr. VP of Ad Sales - everyone was incredible. I still keep in contact with a large majority of the staff."

"The company had some financial stability issues and declared bankruptcy about a year after I left."

"Call me a Monday morning quarterback, but they need to make some adjustments with their accounting practices."

"Do not go there. I was warned by friends and family and did not listen."

"The people were dishonest, backstabbers. Everyone talks about each other via their IM. I saw fighting and crying often in my few months on the job."

"Management is a large part of the problem, at least for me."

"I enjoyed the people I worked with. It was a friendly and fun atmosphere and I actually enjoyed going into work each morning."

"I felt I was not able to reach my full potential because of the lack of challenge and there was no room for advancement in the company."

"An enjoyable idea for improving confidence in an office is to have a few funny competitions as chances for everyone to show their strong points, and banding together for a general reason."

"Yes, stay away from this callous backstabbing crappy company. Only interview with Charter if you are a sadist that craves misery and torture."

What don't you like about working at Charter Communications?

"Mandatory OT. Impossible deadline expectations. Be prepared to work every weekend for two months straight. Don't get comfortable as a contractor, expect to be let go at any time. No chance of ever becoming a full time employee as a contractor. Even if you work off the clock. It will not happen. Expect to come in at dawn on Saturday or Sunday to any empty building and have no support from Admins who have the weekend off like normal people. You are just a number to them. Charter is a sweatshop. Stay away if you have a family life or want to ever advance."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Stop being so petty and stop throwing people under the bus if you made a mistake. Senior management basically drive the contractors like sled dogs to get a project completed in time with a hard line approach."

"I regret starting this job, I had to spend money to get the tools required to start the job if that makes any sense, and they also take money out of my check for other tools I bought from them. So they bend you over backwards with no set wage. Each job requires being brought back to spec but we only have a small time frame and fixing some jobs is like working for 4 dollars an hour. It is a slave job, do not work for this company."
