In March 2009, Charter Communications filed for bankruptcy. After corporate restructuring, Charter Communications emerged from bankruptcy in November 2009. Currently, Charter is recognized as a Fortune 500 company.

Employees enjoy a significant Charter benefits package. Charter employees receive complimentary Internet and telephone service, six paid holidays and four floating holidays per year, up to four weeks paid vacation, and a generous sick leave and leave of absence policy. Charter employees also receive medical, dental, life, short-term disability, and vision insurance and a 401(k) plan.

Charter Communications also offers a generous supplemental benefits package to employees. These benefits include dependent spouse and child life insurance, adoption reimbursement, and discounts on childcare. Tuition reimbursement is also available to employees wishing to further their education.
