"CGI employees have a balanced work/life mix. It's easy to talk to management and they're pretty much responsive when you need them to be. People are very nice and friendly and try their best to help new members. Decent benefit, lots of fun events and a lot of useful training courses."

"I worked at CGI for a little over a year. The benefits and pay is good for starting out but increases little to none for the time worked. The ability to talk about what you can do matters more than actual results when getting promoted. Overall I believe this is a good company to start out working for but decreases in attractiveness the longer you stay."

"One big thing that displeases is the removal of good health insurance. This is one of the main reasons people go to work for a company."

"Working for CGI is up and down. In one project, I had a dream job where I found much creativity and the work-life-balance was great (allowing some remote time, etc.). In other projects, it felt like the rest of the corporate world where there is very little room for advancement. It's a projectized culture: choose your project well and you will be happy."

"Great place to work with great people and great leadership! Definitely an up and coming company with a great environment. Under relatively new CEO, Tom Riscili, CGI has become an extremely enjoyable place to work at on a daily basis! NOTHING bad to say about CGI Windows and Doors! A+++++ definitely a great place to work at."

"My supervisor was the best boss I have had in my 40+ years of working. The people around me in the workplace were highly politicized and therefore not trustworthy. These others were for the most part not CGI personnel. CGI, human resources was a great help over the years in keeping my job and learning better ways to negotiate the workplace."

"CGI Federal is enjoyable in some respects, however I would like to experience more technical expertise and be able to grow more as a developer than what they have available."

"I have loved working for CGI. Extremely competent, hard-working folks, upward mobility is actually possible here (!!), diverse colleagues... no place is perfect but this has been one of the most positive experiences of my career."

"CGI is a good company and the career growth is good. I joined CGI in the year 2013. Salary is comparatively ok but whatever I am getting paid is little less compared to others."

"I've worked for cgi for over 6 years and all in all, it was good experience as a consultant, although the communication between the employer and cgi managers were not existent cause as a consultant you really work at a client site, as CGI eliminated career counsellors and managers, it was hard to keep the relationship going, that definitely had a bad impact on the relationship between CGI and the consultant."

"Overall a good company to work for, but not much room to move up. Current client is not the easiest to work for. (US government)"

"Real location was in CGI Bangalore India. This company was formerly IMRGlobal before being taken over by CGI. The work culture is good. A little more politics than I prefer. When I worked here it was a small firm and everyone was very accessible. I found there wasn't much room to grow though. As senior position we are occupied by long term employees and was difficult to replace and new areas of development were not as many during the time."
