"Know a little German, be able to conference call at all hours of the days and enjoy it."

"Long close cycle, projects take over 1 year to develop and close."

What do you like about working at Alstom?
"it is a large company contrlled from Paris, France. The atmoshere was can do. Projects were in the hungreds od millions of dollars, so decisions were carefully vetted before approval and then everything was done to succeed."

"Company looks for team players and expertise in their fields."
What don't you like about working at Alstom?
"Decisions were a little slow, but this was understandable. Company was a matrix organization with too many silos."

"Try harder to implement the very good business culture that the company had developed."

"I like the fact that it is located in Downtown Chicago."

"Don't interview for IT unless you are comfortable with low pay and no job satisfaction."
What don't you like about working at Zacks Investment Research?
"On a rating of 1 to 10, the IT staff is a 2. The majority of the IT is low cost and India outsourced novices and the US team are also novices as well. The website goes down quite frequently and nothing is being done to fix the problem."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Hire higher quality IT staff and stop trying to get low quality because of low costs. Losing more money by having low quality staff which is affecting the revenue and company growth."

"My boss was not the best at working for you when you needed her to do it. It was all about saving her butt!"

"some management have been there for so long and they need to move on. They know the system and play the big game. If you're not on the kiss a@% team you don't go far."

"Selling out of an empty cart. Product availability is sub par. Lost three major contracts due to lack of product performance and availability."

"Sub contract out manufacturing the product until we have adequate staff"

"I had a great relationship with the man who hired me. He was replaced when management change in Jan of 2012"

"I would not recommend anyone going to work for Deufol. The company is unprofitable and is run by the 24 year old son of the owner"
What don't you like about working at Deufol?
"The organization eliminated all design support forcing us to use outside contractors for basic design work. They also eliminated their print operation which was one of the major reason why I left my previous position to join them. The new management was / is does not support the packaging side of the business. They are entirely focused on Data Management where they have one primary customer."

"Go to business school and gain some practical knowledge on how to run a profitable business. Then actually gain some practical management experience. You can't expect to move into a senior role without having ever a) run a business or b) managed people"

"I have no room for growth here and am at the top of my game. There is no where for me to look to be promoted to in Austin. I would have to move to have a career choice upward."

"The ability to work in a new industry (video games), the ability to work with spectacular artists, and the ability to work from home were all huge perks."

"My only tip would be to be excited for the opportunity; the people at Volta genuinely love their jobs and are excited to do them."

"Nothing. My only regret is that once they were bought out, the requirement was to move to Quebec and with two teenage daughters, that wasn't possible."

"It is the number one in Waster Water treatment in Mexico with great andique technology and products.Good profesional people, which are always willing to help and give the extra step to get things done."

"Since the company might no be operating in the U.S., there will be no career opportunities."
What don't you like about working at Ecolo Systems?
"What I don't like about the company is that due to serious financial and administrative disarray, fell into a serious financial crisis. Unfortunately the company partners have taken a long time to take the required measures and because of this delay, the partners sold part of the company and the new investor unfortunately is contemplating the shut down of the U.S. office (Houston, TX) to concentrate all the efforts in Mexico and Colombia operations."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"After my first three months with this companies I mentioned to two of the active partners that a new sales team needed to be formed and developed because, the company's main customer had significantly dropped the purchases of new waste water treatment plants. I develop the new sales organization chart, new sales incentives and commission policies, Ways to measure sales calls,objectives and goals achievement. I also suggested the hiring of a COO which at that time the company did not have, with the objective to be responsible to supervice and control department like Desing and Engineering, plant operations and plant construction. These suggestions were implemented between 2010 and 2011."
