"I loved the client interaction. I live vicariously through my clients, and enjoy helping them to grow and achieve their goals. I enjoy the networking,meeting new prospective clients and seeing who I can meet that may be able to help my clients, as a value added service. I dislike monthly sales production goals. Building relationships and trust take time, often a 90 + day cycle. Some supervisors only look at the results, not the activity that will reap the results over time."

"I am the first person hired as a temp to cold call and try to get additional business. If someone is interviewing for this position, I recommend that they have their own contacts to call if possible and ask many questions of current clients and titles of the people who bought the service."

What don't you like about working at Masco Corp.?

"There are no databases for me to look at to get names to cold call. I have to find the companies, find names using Linked In, cold call and try to find the appropriate person to speak with about our services."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"To buy a list that includes Companies, Names, Titles, phone numbers and emails so a sales person can make many more cold calls and not spending as much time researching."

"They are a good group of people to work for. But if interviewing for sales, ask more detailed questions regarding expenses and how they impact your income."

"Lack of growth or advancement within the company. Charge-backs on expenses against commissions were much too high."

"There are quality individuals in management and they know what they need to do to improve communication a little better."

"Working on my own and being responsible for my own destiny."

"Understand that new business is the focus. Once you sell a client, you don't have the time to service them and the company expects you to move on. Current quotas and company philosophy dictate that you must do this to consistently hit quota."

What don't you like about working at Rewards Network?

"Restricted to calling on only restaurants. Product we sell is not sticky enough to keep clients in on a long term basis."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Streamline the sales goals for reps to fit different regions of the country. Sales expectations and quotas that apply to a city the size of Los Angeles should not be the same as a city the size of Montgomery Alabama. Member base is vastly different. Focus on client retention as a part of the overall responsibility of the sales rep in the local area in order to maintain accounts and balance this with the focus on new business. You don't keep accounts when clients never see the person who sold them. Finally, more market research should be done in specific areas before a sales rep is hired and budgeted for that territory."
