"I liked the creativity of designing an ad for a customer and then going over it with the customer and watching it grow."

"For someone who is just entering sales, this could be a good starting point."

"I did not like the fact that after building a relationship with a customer, the following year, it would be reassigned to another rep."

"That the company may find it more beneficial if customers have a point of contact they trust each year. I believe the upsale would be musch better than starting each year from scratch again with a new rep."

"Some of the management needed to attend leadership classes."

"They need to realize that outside sales representatives get beat up some days, and when they come back to the office they need to have a positve, upbeat atmosphere."

"Stay away --don't interview with Yellowbook. Their ads are dishonest."

"The focus or direction was constantly changing on a weekly basis. They tried to manage by intimidation and the pressure was unbearable. Favorites received the best assignments. You were ranked by numbers that were inaccurate, and managers could care less because it didn't affect their compensation."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Have a CONSISTENT plan and stop gossiping about the reps to other reps. Answer questions honestly."

"When I worked there, it was a very high energy great place to work, The office was full of good competitive competition, great salesreps that became friends of mine. You will gain alot of Outside Sales experience and high confidence from working there."

"Be prepared to work hard!!!! It will pay off, join the mentoring program."

What don't you like about working at YellowBook?

"The base was too low! It was hard to convince Advertisers that print still exist over the internet."

"Management should probably consider more ride days. I think they get so tide down in meetings, that they forget how tuff it is out there. Knocking on doors the majority of your day is challenging, but enjoyable for those that like it."

"Company is losing share in the marketplace. Books are shrinking to the point where the product they're producing is losing usage thus creating advertiser erosion. Impact on me is that every sale comes hard and there is alot of internal chaos that makes the work rnvironment unpleasant."
