"Slow growth or movement professionally, inability of the company to retain employees permanently, there are departmental employee cutbacks all the time."

"Improve the software being used between purchasing department and accounting."

"I like being active during work and some of the freedoms to do what I want when I'm not assigned a particular task."

"Do not expect to go anywhere in this job. Expect to do the same thing over and over with little opportunity for change. Customer service sucks."

"There is nothing exciting about the job. It is very consistent and nothing changes."

"It's a large growing company with multiple locations all over the U.S."

"The management and staff at some locations were not dedicated to their job."

"Management should focus on keeping their entire staff properly trained and motivated."

"it used to be a good company, but with recent changes, Nothing!"

"If they are looking for a short term job, maybe they can count on it!"

"there was lots of opportunities to grow before but now its almost impossible."

"They only think about company profit but they have to understand that employees are people who make that profit possible, so they have to keep them happy!"

What do you like about working at Walgreens?

"I enjoyed the interaction with people and being able to help customers in need. I like that I knew where a lot of things were and I was able to show my organizational skills. Also, I got along with my coworkers and managers. I worked hard with whatever task was thrown at me, and I think that is a reason I was trained in all departments in such a short amount of time."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"I would advise to be dependable and to work as a team. That is the only way that a store in that nature will run efficiently."

What don't you like about working at Walgreens?

"I did not like the fact that corporate wanted to cut corners, which made more work for us that we should not have had to do. For example, clean the bathrooms and empty the trash outside. It had been taken care of by an outside company, but had stopped all of a sudden. Also, although I got along with my coworkers, there were some that should have been let go due to the problems they created in their lack of a work ethic, that added extra strain to the next person in their department."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"The store manager has really done a lot with this specific store, and really do not have any suggestions at this point for her to improve on."

What do you like about working at Walgreens?

"Repeat customers that you can treat like family. It is better than no job. At least I have income and some benefits."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Don't do it! Unless you can afford living off of 33 hours a week and asked to do more and more each day with less help."

What don't you like about working at Walgreens?

"They pretend to care about employees with a lot of chatter, but employees are not stupid and can read between the lines. Every few months a new budget is created and jobs are terminated or hours are severely cut back, but you still have to work 5 days a week and no steady hours, making it impossible to pick up a 2nd job."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Great pay and benefits. 40 hour work weeks unless employee asks for less."

What do you like about working at Walgreens?

"repeat customers that feel like family. Some benefits. Better than working at Walmart."

"Don't do it unless you can live off 33 hours a week. Hourly pay may seem ok, but they get you by only having you work 33 hours... do your math first."

What don't you like about working at Walgreens?

"Hourly cutbacks from 40 to 33 to pad the pockets of CEO and stockholders. The company doesn't care too much about the financial effects of its employees. It pretends to be employee friendly in the eyes of the consumer."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Take care of my employees first. Happy employees give 100% + and give better customer care."

"It's a place for a new entry level to learn and get the real experience."

"I love the people I worked with. They are very supportive."

"Just be yourself. Everything at Walgreens is about customer focus."

"They need more people.They need the trainee more time in training."

"Give us more people. We are short handed. Provide the training that people need so in the long run, we are confident in what we do."
