"Working along side co-workers is great. As for the management there is room for improvement. Such as, making sure schedules are posted on time and listening to employees more when it comes to their hours and the needs they have. The room for growth within the company is next to none. No pay raises after being there for over a year. Short staffed shifts which makes for a more stressful shift. Computer systems and software are not up-to-date meaning things run slow and are more likely to crash."

"I just started working in the pharmacy, and for the most part, everything is good. I kind of got thrown into it without any proper training. However, I am doing my PPL's after I already learned how to do almost everything. Lol. We are a 24 hour Walgreens, short-staffed, need I say less. We basically have to jump back and forth and run around a lot. There is a general work flow (drive-thru, front registers, filling) however, the other day I came in right at rush hour, someone was in the middle helping customers in drive thru and didn't need my assistance at that moment. So logically, I go to the front register where there's a huge line and hop right in. After doing my job, helping people, and taking initiative, one of my middle-aged woman coworker who tries to constructively criticize everything I do, tells me that I wasn't supposed to do that. Nobody else said anything. The people you work with play a very big role in working here. Make sure your environment is positive, it really does help. Rather than slaving and doing all you can for your customers and getting criticized for it."

"I worked for Walgreen's for over 2 years. The company and the work style they offer is very pleasant and satisfying. While working there, I have been promoted twice and encouraged multiple times for the work I have done. I will continue to prove myself with any employer and show my skill set that I have learned through Walgreen's and many more to come."

"I worked at Walgreens for about 6 months. I left due to a car accident. I loved working there. It was a great place to work. The staff was amazing and would help you anyway they could."

What do you like about working at Walgreens?

"I would say vacation days and employee discounts, and helping patients."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Do the best you can, we're only human. Good luck."

What don't you like about working at Walgreens?

"Pressure to meet expectations that are unrealistic at a store level. Stores are understaffed and are given so many duties, which causes so much stress which may cause many health issues."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Make sure that my employees feel like they hold value to the company and not feel like just a number. Undercover bosses at a high volume store is a great opportunity to really understand the reality of how the stores are being run with so much stress and such little staff and now pay decrease."

What do you like about working at Walgreens?

"After the years I've given, I know my customers, I am able to provide better service to them. I challenge myself by knowing names and faces, and now, I keep tabs on how they're daily lifestyle choices affect their health."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Bilingual is a plus, but be prepared, you'll be expected to provide translations constantly, especially in Boston. Speaking Spanish is a massive plus."

What don't you like about working at Walgreens?

"The most stressful part is the immature bunch of middle aged women that I work with who prefer to gossip instead of do their jobs. The entitled women who constantly tell me I don't know how to do my job, when in reality, I'm doing a better job than they are, according to our managers. I'm not respected for my work there."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I'd assure that all other employees would understand the flow, and based on the talent of each employee, I would create the best system to reduce wait time for prescriptions, and therefore, stress. I'd make time for each employee a week to discuss what I see as strengths and weaknesses so that we can improve the efficiency of our work."

What do you like about working at Walgreens?

"Repeat customers that you can treat like family. It is better than no job. At least I have income and some benefits."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Don't do it! Unless you can afford living off of 33 hours a week and asked to do more and more each day with less help."

What don't you like about working at Walgreens?

"They pretend to care about employees with a lot of chatter, but employees are not stupid and can read between the lines. Every few months a new budget is created and jobs are terminated or hours are severely cut back, but you still have to work 5 days a week and no steady hours, making it impossible to pick up a 2nd job."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Great pay and benefits. 40 hour work weeks unless employee asks for less."
