"I worked at VMware Inc. for 9 years and it was an amazing company: great products, people, and culture! The compensation kept up with the market rate for software sales."
"I worked for VMware as a result of the acquisition of Datrium by VMware. VMware is an excellent company whose culture is one of diversity, teamwork, compassion, and achievement. They take good care of their employees and customers. VMware is a big company, but the corporate structure, segmenting various products into business units, allows for a smaller feel with good communication and direction. I would recommend it as a good place to work."
"VMware is a great company for any new starters and those who want to learn and excel in their career."
"Vmware drives and reforms the digital workspace and cloud computing. Both work ethic and company culture are top of the list among fortune 500."
"Working at VMware has been a great experience."
"12 years with VMware feels good. I was very grateful to work for VMware, company that became my family. Thankful for connecting me with my team, my huge helpers, with whom together we can create something big, and feel like we are giving back and giving people our ideas, abilities, and talents."
"Working with VMware was an incredible experience for me. It was the first time I had an opportunity to work with over 300 high-level engineers on cutting edge technologies that we were able to improve upon, since we worked as the in-between with the programmers and the senior level administrators who worked for and advised the largest companies and governments around the world. In my VRealize and Orchestrator department, the pace was hectic, and training was mostly, “in the trenches”, hands-on troubleshooting and discovering bugs, as well as determining future needs which we worked closely with the programmers to resolve and improve. The pay, due to so many high-level engineers was well below par, but all of us worked there for the love of the technology and the people, not the salaries."
"Overall a very good company with a good mission and great people. Just a little too large for my liking."
"Good Work culture and Good Work-life balance"
"Worked since 2019. Excellent technical people. Erratic management."
"Pros : Smart engineers cons : Higher management cutting costs and wasting money on poor acquisitions. Moved to innovation to acquisition model."
"Good compensation and Good people, challenging work"
"Great company to work for, good culture, benefits and life-work balance."
"Overall is pretty good except the room to go up"
"Lots of good resources to learn and opportunity to work with very smart people."
