"Working with VMware was an incredible experience for me. It was the first time I had an opportunity to work with over 300 high-level engineers on cutting edge technologies that we were able to improve upon, since we worked as the in-between with the programmers and the senior level administrators who worked for and advised the largest companies and governments around the world. In my VRealize and Orchestrator department, the pace was hectic, and training was mostly, “in the trenches”, hands-on troubleshooting and discovering bugs, as well as determining future needs which we worked closely with the programmers to resolve and improve. The pay, due to so many high-level engineers was well below par, but all of us worked there for the love of the technology and the people, not the salaries."

"try to negociate highest pay as possible, as they throw raises around like manhole covers"

"being Micro-managed, doing stupid things like making escalation engineers managers, then dont train them to be managers"

"hire more people you morons, case loads are overwhelming at times, cut phone q times"

"Working with amazing technology and helping customers solve problems, teaching"

"be prepared to answer technical questions in the interview, knowledge of VMware products however is not required"

"lack of headcount and not enough time to take training or work in the lab"

"increase headcount and recognize that engineers have specialties, you can't just stick them anywhere and get a good result"
