"The project can be of short duration and this can cause gaps in the work."

"Please provide longer term project and provide internal training for employees."

"Freedom to grow exponentially all the time. Most of the time I was at AT&T/Bellsouth, but I still had so many things I could grow into."

"The sky is the limit! You can grow quickly by doing consulting and you get to work on all kinds of great progressive projects."

"I missed having benefits. That put financial burdens on my family."

"I didn't interview for this position, they liked my resume and needed someone."

"it is a contract job with little chance of continuing."

"They should drop the 4 year degree requirement for hire."

"TEKSystems has some very nice people working in their recruitment department. They check in on you regularly to make sure things are going well."

"I think they are overall a good company, but you will have to look out for your own best interest and not trust your recruiter when it comes to money."

What don't you like about working at TEKsystems?

"I didn't often feel that TEK had my best interest in mind when negotiating salary and travel reimbursement. They are mainly concerned with impressing the client and will not give the whole picture to the consultant, especially when it comes to travel monies. I was encouraged to bill an inclusive rate and ended up spending more than $2000 a month from my salary on travel expenses because the rate they told me would cover my expenses was not even close."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"TEK is relatively new to the Healthcare IT field and they need to ramp up their continuing education programs for healthcare. I ended up paying for any continuing education I needed out of pocket because their internal opportunities were not related to my field."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"As long as you're under contract, the differences of being a contract employee and being an internal employee will always bother you no matter how much you convince yourself otherwise. It feels like such a sham. Contract to hire makes sense, but these are just revolving contracts with no chance at achieving job stability. It can wear on you pretty hard."

"Dealing with and solving employees I.T. needs and problem solving"

"I would tell any future canidates to keep and open mind."

"Being a sub contractor instead of being a full time employee."

"Love my co workers and love what the company has taught me, not only professionally, but personally as well."

"Be prepared to work your butt off and don't get caught on the emotional roller coaster!"

"The constant struggle to keep a decent paycheck. Constantly worried about my commission checks. The job is a grind and often thankless, and the hours required are way too much."

"I would focus on more work/life balance for employees and better base salaries. I would also allow employees to work from home."

"Learning new technologies like Microsoft software and hardware, other technologies."

"Lack of steady work, seeking a job with the potential for full time."

"Management has been nice to work with, no significant suggestions."

"It was a team agency. They found some work for me. It was a good company to work for."

"It was just temp, if you are looking for a full time job this is not the company to work for."

"I wasn't getting enough hours, they were calling me only on certain days."

"I didn't have any way of getting in contact with management. I was only contacted by a recruiter."

"Everyone is too normal. It is boring. Too many old people."
