"TEKSystems has some very nice people working in their recruitment department. They check in on you regularly to make sure things are going well."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"I think they are overall a good company, but you will have to look out for your own best interest and not trust your recruiter when it comes to money."

What don't you like about working at TEKsystems?

"I didn't often feel that TEK had my best interest in mind when negotiating salary and travel reimbursement. They are mainly concerned with impressing the client and will not give the whole picture to the consultant, especially when it comes to travel monies. I was encouraged to bill an inclusive rate and ended up spending more than $2000 a month from my salary on travel expenses because the rate they told me would cover my expenses was not even close."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"TEK is relatively new to the Healthcare IT field and they need to ramp up their continuing education programs for healthcare. I ended up paying for any continuing education I needed out of pocket because their internal opportunities were not related to my field."

"It is a job and beats unemployment - better than nothing."

"If you need a job, go for it - otherwise I would shy away."

"None; consulting uses your available skills while not providing the opportunity to build new skills."
