"The company is not currently making the the products that gives them a good market share in various market segments and its market share in most of the products has drastically declined."

"It should look for reducing the price of the products and consider changing its market strategies like focusing on Ad revenue with services instead of monthly charge for the services.(like making Sony Network Entertainments services free instead of monthly service charge etc)."

"GREAT Company. Great Brands, great projects and great people in my group. Very flexible in time and very trusty to their employee that gives you an easy environment to work for. very friendly"

"As a developer knowing Android developing is a plus here"

"Limitation on the projects and ideas that employees have. Everything needs to be approved by Japan and that takes log time. Not good in a competitive market."

"Not my manager but the global Managers need to know the US market better."

"This company is big organizations and so many different people are working. So even if you cannot get what you want, just try to another within the company."

"Due to the economy, some of business functions are downsized."

"We should think about customers' needs and satisfaction. so It will increase company revenue and we share the fruits."

"It is not your standard cut and dry corporate environment, but more geared to run off the knowledge of their highly skilled engineers."

"New divisions have growing pains and ours is no exception. Lucky for the employees is that we get to be active in fostering its growth WITH management."

"Keep going! I have nothing but positive things to say about all my interactions with management here."

"I had the great opportunity of working specifically with the Digital Imaging Product Group. As a photographer, that allowed me to match my passion with my position. There was good opportunity for growth and learning."

"Professionalism balanced with current technology and style knowledge is key for working at Sony."

What don't you like about working at Sony?

"One of the main challenges was the amount of time expected. Since I worked at the retail level of the company, there was a 24/7 - 365 need. I did find it challenging that, even on vacation, I was expected to be available."

"To be honest, the management team I worked with at Sony were some of the best people I've worked with. Given the stressful, fast paced world that was Sony online retail presence, I feel they did a great job."
