What do you like about working at Siemens?

"The company has got a very good Process and Procedures. The work atmosphere is very informal and pleasant. The person is given proper training and a mentor to start with so that he has no problems in settling in his new Job. The work is given according to capacity and is not pushed to overload limits.The work force around are good and helpful."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"1. As Siemens is a German company, it was found that for the same Job in Siemens Bangkok, there was a disparity in salary structure between a German and a non German."

What don't you like about working at Siemens?

"Work at Siemens Bangkok involves the SAP Implementation & Maintenance in the Asia Pacific Region. As the SAP implementation has been completed in most of the Asia Pacific Countries, it is now matter of maintenance. Boredom therefore sets in after some time as Challenge is lacking."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"1. Management is required to come up with ways so that the boredom can be avoided in the case of regular maintenance only.2. Review Salary structure as it is not very good."

"Too many management silos. If all of those teams and divisions were ever to pull together it would be very powerful."

"Micro Management. Conflicting directions from managers. Never knowing if you are going to come into work with your items boxed up, and escorted to HR. Advancement was an utter joke!"

"Based on the economy the head of application engineering in Colorado Spring made the decision to cut field application engineers so he could hire application engineers at the Colorado Springs facitily when the economy gets better. He wants all application engineers out of one facility."

"If you have a devoted employee who has worked for you for more then 10-years, you should try and hang onto that employee if at all possible."

"My position was very independent, so I didn't have to report directly to management every day. I enjoyed the autonomy. I greatly enjoyed my interaction with the German side of the company as well."

"Depending on the department you interview I would be prepared for very technical jargon and questions. Even in a marketing role, you must be able to understand a certain level of technical speak."

"You will do well at Siemens if you enjoy a strict and rigid work environment. Red tape and rules are what guide the company. There are also many layers to management."
