"This is a great company to start your career with but aside from that there is no room for advancement"

"Broadcast policies and procedures, trust your employees to do the right thing and stop micro managing EVERY tiny thing"

"Digital had a great company culture, and was led by ethical leadership in Ken Olsen."

"The company no longer exists. Digital was acquired by Compaq, which was acquired by HP."
What don't you like about working at Digital Equipment Corp.?
"Other parts of the company were struggling to be profitable, thus dragging down the company's bottom line, and it's ability to invest in growth areaas."

"I very much enjoyed my work with Astra Tech and left to stay home with my children for a few years."
What do you like about working at Astra Tech?
"I liked my boss, who is no longer there. I enjoyed being in a small, automomous segment of a large, secure company. I enjoyed that we had the best performing product on the market."
What don't you like about working at Toshiba?
"Management wanted yes people, not people who could think and act on their own. They talked a great story about lowering decision making, but were not able to execute that strategy. Management did not fully support all strategic initiatives and reverted back to historical focus rather than looking at the changing market landscape."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Stop trying to follow what the rest of the industry is doing and set your own course, then stick with it. Meld all of the products and services into a single, cohesive offering rather than a fractured, mish-mosh so that to the market, they all look to be part of a grand solution. Make a quota for the distribution channel based on corporate goals and give it teeth. Tie corporate goals to the field's compensation including solutions revenue, MPS contracts, etc."
What don't you like about working at ADE Corp.?
"It suffered for a rapid industry downturn which had not been predicted and caused the shut-down of the division where I was working."

What do you like about working at Luminous Networks?
"I liked my job, creating a brand new optical switch, creating a new market, revenue from ground level 0, translating customers needs into a brand new product, everything was fun.."

"No, company does not exist any more."
What don't you like about working at Luminous Networks?
"I disliked the chaos in the company. Currently I am not with luminous because company sold out and closed down."

"I like management who is visionaries and who expand business by adding creative services for additional revenue."
