What do you like about working at Best Buy?
"Fast pace environment with lots of project activity. Funding is less of an issue than making a clear case for your project."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be young. The company values energetic, innovative, creative approaches. Most of the functions are project and function coordination. Much of the creative and software development work is done by contractors."
What don't you like about working at Best Buy?
"Functional overlap and undetermined decision rights. Even at the VP level it is frequently unclear about which person or organization has the authority to run or approve a project or function."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Clarify function, authority and responsibility. Vertical responsibilities are vague, horizontal scope of responsibility is undefined."
What do you like about working at GeoFields?
"For the most part, I could work on whatever I wanted to."

"Be prepared to work for less than what you are worth."
What don't you like about working at GeoFields?
"There was nowhere else to move up. The pay was not great."

"Sell more software. Serve more than just the oil and gas pipeline industry."
