"I liked that I had an opportunity to work with something I love. I got to try out the latest and greatest in gear. I enjoyed the challenge of a sales environment."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be prepared for a competitive environment and know your stuff as far as musical instruments."
What don't you like about working at Guitar Center?
"You can never do enough as far as numbers. If a worker has one down month in a statistic that he or she is usually strong in, they will still get written up. Morning meetings are unpaid. We were forced to sell horrible warranties that did not provide customers with the services they needed. Also technology for the company is slow to evolve and full of bugs when it is released."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Use more of a big picture approach. Do not nitpick certain statistics when there is no history of a problem over the long term."
What do you like about working at Wilmington Stone Garden?
"Working with customers. Responsible for maintaining a good work environment, and making sure the business is running smoothly."

"Make sure that you are a reliable and responsible job applicant."
What don't you like about working at Wilmington Stone Garden?
"No benefits or retirement plan. No promotional opportunities. High turnover."

"Making sure that all sales representative are on the same page. Promoting business."

"I like that I got to speak and interact with those around me, build relationships, and help people on product knowledge. There was some satisfaction in the fact that I had helped someone make a decision that best suited them, no matter how important that decision may or may not have been."

"Interviewing skills are pretty universal. Be confident, sell yourself, and show the company that you want more than a job. You want an opportunity to become an asset, and--most importantly--show that you are ready to work."
What don't you like about working at Verizon Communications?
"There were some management and scheduling issues. The rewards weren't very rewarding, and that is something I expect for a sales position. Input should always equal output."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Make the environment more rewarding. Give us a reason for sales. Make the team be a team. There was no group effort or drive. I feel like that is important."

"I would caution others interviewing that the demand for a luxury item such as yachts immediatly decreases in a down economy."
