Employees are trained to complete outfits for the customer's occasion rather than sell one or two items. In other words, most of the sales staff act as a personal shopper to their customers. The staff also utilize a CRM system to send out promotional opportunities, thank you cards, call backs and appointment reminders."

"Not a whole lot, they micromanage the hell out of you!"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Run!!! Only take a part time job here and make your self available only between 9-7, if you open you have to vacuum, breakdown boxes and do markdowns, all wearing a suit, or for you women, skirt/dresses and pantie hose."

What don't you like about working at Von Maur?

"Again, nothing is positive about this place, they get one person to do the work of 4, housekeeper, stock/dock associate, merchandiser, sales, oh and markdowns"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Get rid of Tess, train the Department managers, they don't have a clue."
