"Be sure to write down your schedule and double check with management to make sure that it is correct."
What don't you like about working at Victoria's Secret?
"One of the most difficult things about Victoria's Secret was the amount of hours that fellow employees would ask to be filled if they could not make their shift. However, the others were not as willing to take on more shifts, there were only two or three people that were really dependable as far as taking extra shifts."

"Schedule more people than you think you would need in case someone does call in sick."

"Focus on the bright side, our job is sales and you need to be happy and focused not feel like they dangle our jobs in front of us daily."

"I practically grew up working for Wal-Mart, and the experience ended up being far greater than the sum of my work hours."

"I loved helping customers, especially since people's expectations for good service in department store retail is usually low, and I was always happy to surprise them with kindness and knowledge."

"It can be terribly monotonous, and promotions from within, while excellent for career advancement, result in some pretty disagreeable managerial staff."

"Find that balance between too soft and too strict, and be sure to reward your strongest employees with the best tasks and lenient schedules (Wal-Mart unfortunately hires employees from a very wide range of ability and responsibility)."
