"Your job is pretty darn secure, but you have to deal with complete idiots (which are handling your medical specimens that doctors base a diagnosis on), lower than average pay with horrible raises, extremely hard to non-existent ability for promotions, co-workers and managers extremely resistant to changes even if more efficient and logical."
What don't you like about working at Quest Diagnostics?
"WAAAY too many things to simply list here. Incompetent supervisor(s), inability to discipline employees (or fire them), mixed messages with pay (increased revenues, reduced raises (which are already horrible), can't give high raises but if you threaten to quit, big raise for you to stay!), no COLA, want to be #1, but pay the average (say they pay average, its actually below), etc. etc. etc."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Put the employees over the stock holders. Stop saying you have to have cutbacks despite increasing revenue every year."

"The scheduling is flexible and I can generally take the days I want off without any problems."

"Don't expect to be promoted past the average tech position. Group lead spots are rare, and anything above that you will have to wait till a supervisor quits, retires, or drops dead."

"The directors and supervisors have to have their way. The employees who are actually doing most of the grunt work rarely get to offer suggestions."

"I would change the culture of the company to a more modern view. People need to be fired and new management put into place."
