"CEO never acted like he is interested in any of the worker bees that are doing all the work to gain his big bonuses while letting people go."

What do you like about working at Microsoft?
"I like the challenges of developing products for consumer use, the excellent opportunities for advancement based on the performance of your job, and overcoming the thought that something could not be done and then doing the right thing for the product and the customer."
What don't you like about working at Microsoft?
"I don't like that they were not always supporting a work/life balance although saying it was important."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"All of management needs to be able to work with different skill sets and thoughts about how work should be done. There is more than one way to get a job completed and not talk down to employees that have a vested interest and commitment to a project."

"There is enough diversity there that you can find a good fit chemistry wise."

"Ask the tough, probing questions up front to be sure you're getting into a role that is attractive as it has been portrayed."

"The only folks with a good line of sight on long term job security and economic well-being are the executives."

"Earn true loyalty from your employees as you once did, or be up front about farming out every role you can to overseas labor."

"What I liked about Tellabs was the location and at the time I joined the company I felt there would be opportunities for career growth."

"Like any other interview, just be prepared."

"I left a carrer position and opportunity with my previous company and the position at Tellabs only lasted a little over a year."

"I understand when it comes to restructuring the business but instead of just looking at salaries they should be looking at skill sets. Ask the question; Who are the best people with the skills to take you into the next decade and beyond"
