"I worked at Pearson Packaging for 6 months, until they had a 10% company-wide reduction in staff. I was the last Sr. PM hired so was the logical pick, sadly. I enjoyed the company, my role, and my co-workers."
"It is a great company to learn a lot."
"I worked for Pearson packaging for 15 years, in that time the company has changed immensely. The company was once known for being very employee oriented and family oriented. In the past 6-8 years, the company has become less employee friendly and more corporate oriented. Pros: pay and benefits are very good cons: communication and commitment to employees."
"I do not want to write anything"
"Pretty fun team, definitely flexible!"
"I have worked for Pearson Tech Ops for the past 2+ years and have found it to be a challenging and satisfying position. The company has been trying to integrate many acquisitions over the past 15 years to provide a consistent learning experience for customers. There has been a pattern of consistent change in leadership and direction within Technology making it difficult to support the organization effectively."
"Good company to work for with positive people within the team. I just wish there were more areas for growth."
"I am working for Pearson since July 2018. It is one of the growing and best company in education world. I love working for my current company."
"Worked since 2015 great company to work with and peers Question!"
"I worked at Pearson for 6 years. Management is often changing structures and goals, and this can make seeing long term plans difficult to achieve."
"A company with great work-life balance."
"I am fortunate to work with a team that is providing a solution that makes access to digital content easier and faster, especially for teachers! My department within Pearson, K-12 Learning Services, has recently been sold and will soon be completely separate from Pearson. The most positive aspect of working for Pearson has been the people, who are honestly committed to the future of our children. Most are very active in other activities and organizations for positive change and inclusion. We have an amazing commitment to volunteering, including having some paid time off for participating in volunteer activities."
"I have worked with Pearson Education since 2016. I have found it to be good at times however with the constant change in the education system and the experience I have obtained, I feel it is time to move on to something I enjoy doing."
"Pearson is in the midst of an incredibly complex transition in trying to remain relevant as the world moves towards technical solutions to meet the needs of next generation learners. It's been a long, tedious process with no end in sight which has made it an incredibly difficult environment to find success or to feel productive. Senior leadership seems ill equipped to handle the changing business and has been in a constant state of movement with little outcomes or real direction which leads to a feeling that we are on a ship without a captain with no clear destination. Individual team contributors are highly competent and in general work environment is flexible and supportive of work / life balance the majority of the time. High performers will feel stifled and discouraged in this environment."
"Pearson is a very fun, intelligent and decent place to work. It is a culture of quality and respect. It is family oriented and a great place to work while you are raising your family."
