"It was a proactive, hunter type of role. New business development is my niche."

What do you like about working at Carbis?
"Compensation was good, opportunities were great, good employees to work with...and best of all good products"

"Don't, unless you are starving and keep looking elsewhere"
What don't you like about working at Carbis?
"Upper management is a joke..it is a family started and family run business in the 3rd generation. They have no clue as to what they are doing..they change their minds over products, distribution, and even their own management at a whim...I was there 18 months and they went through about 12 sales reps 4 regional managers, 3 national sales managers, and 1 COO. Within 1 year after my departure they had gone through another 10 sales reps... I had to sue for being fired to get my unemployment..the court went in my favor, unreasonable dismissal..I was told every employment law firm in the state of SC has met them in court. ENOUGH SAID...the best thing would be for the family to sell it and let somebody run it correctly..then it would be a wonderful company"

What do you like about working at Carter Lumber?
"I liked working with the customers, helping them with there building needs."
What don't you like about working at Carter Lumber?
"The company did not do anything they said they would do. I was not given the training, no the freedom to properly do my job. I was hired as an Outside Sales Rep, but was kept at the counter for inside sales, almost the entire time I was there."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"You need to allow your people, the freedom to negotiate prices with contractors if you want to compete in the commercial markets."

"I liked working for Teletrac."
What do you like about working at Teletrac?
"I liked the management and the people with whom I worked. The N. Texas office was located in a good neighborhood central to most of the businesses we would/could be calling on in the market."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"This is not a place to work if you are a slacker. If you don't consistantly produce, you will be gone in short order."
What don't you like about working at Teletrac?
"Technology has changed since I worked at Teletrac. I am sure that some of the coverage area limitations have been corrected since I was there. On the negative side, it was hard to get qualified leads from the sales assistants. The only other negative was having to use my own vehicle for sales calls, while MinorPlanet provided company cars and gas cards. However, it must be noted that Teletrac is still in business and MinorPlanet is not."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I have been gone from there for five years. It would not be fair for me to second guess what they are doing."

"There was not any opportunity for career advancement."

"Inside sales very slow to respond to getting quotes out to customers. Mostly mexicans working in the warehouse and delivery, frequent errors."
