"Make sure it's clear what the reporting lines are, and don't let them pull a fast one on you. You want to be clear who you are reporting to."

What don't you like about working at MetLife?

"Too politically correct (people are afraid to say what's really on their minds) and too bureaucratic. They tout training and personal growth, yet they do not teach what they preach and set you up to fail. They also lied about who I was to report to."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Don't let petty-minded people think they can lead. They'll do nothing but stifle cohesion and growth."

"It is an established, well known, and leader in it's industry. They give you the tools and opportunity to make your career what you make of it."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"It's an entrepreneurial position and unless you know affluent people or are part of an established network it is almost inevitable that you will fail one day. 10% success rate and it's all up hill for the first 5 years."

What don't you like about working at MetLife?

"It's 100% commission and you have to find your own clients."
