"I don't think anyone loves to be a sales rep. It's a strenuous job and process. Nobody likes to cold call. It is tedious work and getting the "no not interested" and getting hung up on that we all hate. The only thing I love about sales and marketing, is that the money to be made is endless. I love to gain the clients trust and I love helping the clients grow their business and teach them new ways. The greatest satisfaction for me, is the clients success."

Marketing Representative at BroadVision
in Redwood City, CA

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"Depressing, frustrating, ridiculous. Focus is on all the wrong things."

What do you like about working at BroadVision?

"Work/life balance pretty good. Co-workers for the most part are great, trying to do a good job. Some very smart people."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Don't believe what they tell you. No one gets to make decisions, and you won't be able to fix or improve anything. There will be no budget and decisions by management will make no sense. You will end up just as frustrated and unhappy as most of the rest of us, and you will have no job security."

What don't you like about working at BroadVision?

"No one feels empowered. Processes are broken or non existent, customer is the last thing they think about. Product is sub-standard, and about to be pitched for another one that makes no sense. Leadership is non-existent because CEO micromanages everything and doesn't listen to anyone else. Company goal is to support CEO in regaining his glory days. Morale is terrible and everyone agrees that comany will never thrive under current CEO."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Hire a business focused leader and build a realistic business plan."

"Lack of 401K match is kind of a drag. But the employee benefits packages is robust."

What suggestions do you have for management?

Marketing Representative at Hal Hays Construction
in Riverside, CA

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"Clueless. Terrible. Unprofessional. Incompetent. No management structure."

What do you like about working at Hal Hays Construction?

"Absolutely nothing. Maybe the occasional donuts on Friday. There is a reason this company has gotten such horrible reviews. Please keep that in mind. Please also keep in mind that the few positive reviews that suddenly appear are from employees that were asked to write good reviews in order to mitigate the bad."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Don't waste your time. If you need a job HHCI is always hiring but is it worth it Read all of these reviews carefully and weigh your options. At the end of the day it is a job and in these tough times, a paycheck is a paycheck. That is the only thing Hal Hays Construction has to offer you."

What don't you like about working at Hal Hays Construction?

"The negative working environment. The very unprofessional business practices. The rude and condescending management team that are above reproach. The extremely high turn over. You will be in constant fear for your job and wonder when you will get fired. It is a revolving door and it is a complete joke...although if you're lucky they will be completely incompetent about handling information regarding your impending firing and scheduling interviews for your position that you will have a few weeks notice to look for another job like I did. They are extremely incompetent. The owner knows nothing of running a business, how to treat employees or how to treat subs. The HR Manager is clueless as to HR policies and procedures but does know how to gossip."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"There is no management structure of any kind or any kind of business sense. They are extremely unprofessional. I have seen employees get berated by the owner, called out for mistakes that were not their own, and talked down to and humiliated in meetings. There is absolutely no accountability at Hal Hays. Everything is always someone elses fault except upper management, of course. Its also a favorites club. They do not hide who their favorites are, and if you are there long enough you will figure out who those people are. They only way to get ahead in this company is if you are a relative of the owner or if you are a kiss ass. If you are in either of those two categories you will do just fine. You will advance nicely in the company even if you have no education or experience."

Marketing Representative at Solatube International
in Carlsbad, CA

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"This place needs true innovators and strong leadership."

What do you like about working at Solatube International?

"My peers- looking back they were some of the most talented people I have worked with."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Approach with caution. Family business with exceedingly high rates of uncomfortablity in meetings and idea sharing. Tyranical in certain scenarios. Zero innovation will lead to a bad ending. Nothing here is fresh except the carpet and drapes."

What don't you like about working at Solatube International?

"Leadership- Specific to the president who would privately talk ill of my peers. Decision making was always drawn out to the point of exhaustion, which is leading to the exodus of key employees. Its a shame the damage one incompetent leader can inflict. Too bad the board of directors cant see this also. Its a shame. Layoff after layoff, people are tense. Many other ways to cut costs on most ocassions. Wage freezes, retirement contributions frozen."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Keep your resumes updated! Also let people do what they are hired to do. The leadership there could teach classes on micro-management!"
