"The only advice I could give management is to be consistent in whatever you choose to do."

"Be honest above anything all else. The company cares about integrity, not performance. They want performers, don't get me wrong, but they really want people who are reliable and honest first and foremost."

What don't you like about working at ManTech?

"Zero employee loyalty and no faith in staff. The corporate culture cares more about the bottom line than the employees. Good, solid employees were laid off so execs could buy iPads, causing morale to plummet. It was all done in the name of maximizing our bottom line. Caused a lot of animosity."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Understand that if you treat employees well you'll make money. All companies exist for profit, but there's a point where if your employees believe in the company they'll put out better worse. If they're disillusioned it's not going to benefit the company or the employee both."

"Challenging and able to self direct in making business and IT decisions"

"All interviews are different so judge the person interviewing to determine what level you should respond to"

"Not enough direct feedback. Not long term goals or promotion growth plan"

"More focus on employee growth and retention. More open direct communication channels"

"The mission is engaging, and the operations folks are great."

"Get to know your management chain, not just your supervisor. The right team can make working at ManTech more enjoyable and rewarding."

"Rigid processes with double standards. People first value often feels like third or fourth priority. A lot of demanding work with not a lot of reward/recognition/fun."

"Provide clear direction and vision. Focus on competence. Instill team building culture, not managing by fear."

"interesting people, access to resources in the US military, and comfortable office"

"talk with the customer you will be working with or look at the business unit to see who they are working with"

"lack of contact with other business groups that are also in hte company"

"Balance more on internal business growth to go along with new acquisitions"

"I enjoy working with all my team members. We have over 30 team member on staff and I do say we are a team."

"Interviews are about meeting the person and making sure their a right fit for the company"

"They like to manage with fear and penalizes the group rather then the individual."

"Make people be accountable for their own actions and not the team."

"A solid company with the downside of having to work on the gov't site."

"I really enjoyed the team I was a part of at ManTech. The last manager I had was very good at taking the temperature of team morale and encouraging a work life balance."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Ask for a high salary up front. ManTech sticks to a strict percentage system and doesn't care if you can get more in the market place. A lower starting salary means a lower salary over all."

What don't you like about working at ManTech?

"Because I worked at the client site management at the corporate office often didn't have any idea what I did and even when they came down for meetings I rarely saw them."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Stop by once in a while. Say hI to your employees and ask them how things are going."

"The freedom I had to contribute to the way we progressed through our contract and the professional and technical knowledge I was able to absorb during my time with them."

"Be yourself, be honest and don't be afraid to admit to your short comings."

What don't you like about working at ManTech?

"Simply the fact that all positions are contract positions and can evaporate if the customer changes the support structure or the contract is lost."

"Make more opportunities on the west Coast for individuals like myself."

"I like the travel, working on more than one system, the opportunity to collaborate with the military, foreign military, and different supporting companies. The chance to observe different cultures throughout the world."

"Keep your head up. Stay confident in yourself. Answer direct questions with direct answers unless asked to elaborate on them."

"Lack of field support for the system support groups in different locations of the country. No system parts inventory organization at the different sites."

"The suggestion I would have for the management is to listen to the needs of the people that you are assigned to support."

"The lack of an effective award system for the employees where totally committed and out perform the average employee."

"Take interest in the future of your employees. Take time to understand their complete skill set and abilities in order to help them achieve their career goals while retaining the company's most valuable asset."

"I get to work with the United States Marine Corps."

"Don't expect a lot of support from management, coworkers, or staff back in the States."

"They promote people that I believe can not do the job."

"Freedom to work on your own. The overtime certainly helped."

"Try to be more selective. Also,it may a good idea to find a more stable company"

"They worked for another contractor, we were considered the subcontractor."

"Try to be more organized. A beter distribution of workers would help"

"Discontinuous tasking over the last two-three years. Shift of focus from R&D to IT."
