"Don't do it, unemployment is better than the dysfunction of this company."

"Poor selection in Executive Management from Operations Manager up. Recognition not based on merit rather based on personal selections of ill qualified Senior Management. VP of Manufacturing, VP of Human Resources, Plant Manager all need work."

"What comes around goes around; trust that many of us will be on the sidelines when your day comes."

"It was an innovative powerhouse in the personalization industry, challenging new material and innovation manufacturing and supplier development."

"Be yourself, give them examples what you have done in the past than can help them to reduce cost and improve supplier quality and on time delivery"

"Aggressive delivery schedules, supplier quality issues in some identified suppliers (such as thermal couples and plastic enclosures)"

"Keep promoting innovartion and provide full support of new applications of material and manufacturing best practices. Continue to involve material professionals early on the design cycle."

"Cheddars has the right concept to the new philosophy in the cookie cutter restaurant world. Casual dinning however is the death of restaurants as we had at one time. Corporate restaurants have killed the originality of food as we knew it....."

"Just say no thanks and stay where you can make food the old fashion way, we cook it."

"Stay in hotels or work for non corporate restaurants."

What do you like about working at Barbeques Galore?
"I loved the customers and sales. 6 yrs ago this company was the best place to work. Then they sold it, and all the good people were replaced with people who did not know anything about BBQ's."

"There are much better company's to work for!"
What don't you like about working at Barbeques Galore?
"I worked here for 5 yrs. The new owners are DUMB and I do mean DUMB. they all came from circuit city and we all know what they turned out to be (OUT OF BUSINESS). Turns out BBQ went BANKRUPT as well. They fired all there good sales team and replaced them with ROBOTS with a script to read. It's to bad, this place was great when Sid Kim owned it. He wont even talk about how bad this company is now, it saddens him to much. DO NOT WORK HERE NOW!!!!! Unless you want to sell products that the company cannot even get in stock to sell. Special orders take months to get in because this company cannot pay its bills, even after the bankruptcy. What a joke! Oh by the way you will work at least 60+ Hrs here now, 7 days a week maybe 1 day off every other week. Run away as fast as you can."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Don;t force you sales staff to sell by a scripts (GREAT). they demand you go by this GREAT sales script that does not work. If you don't you will be written up and dealt with in the end losing your job. They want you to lie to customers about stock issue including BBQ and replacement parts. Customers still come in asking for parts and the pore sales team has to lie saying there coming when they are not! Pay your bill BBQ Galore and then you will get the parts your customers want. But first there are at least 5 pages of customers waiting for that exact same part you want so get in line and maybe 2 yrs from now you will get your replacement burners for your Turbo grill. Until then go buy a weber gas grill from OSH."

"The environment is one where people almost always worked together to get the job done."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Do your research into what business group within CitI you are interviewing for. Try and find trends on layoffs and the competitive landscape for that product. You don't want to start a job that won't be around in 12 - 18 months."
What don't you like about working at CitiGroup?
"Lack of mobility. Senior and mid-level managers were almost always brought in from outside while qualified employees even had trouble moving laterally."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Don't lay people off, expect those that are left to do more, then give your top leadership tens of millions of dollars in bonuses. It does nothing but drag down the morale of those that are left."
