Latest layoffs are past the deadwood; they are now losing good people with decades of experience. And there is no sign of a turnaround in sight. Caveat emptor."

"I worked for RCA/GE/Martin Marietta/Lockheed Martin (mergers and buyouts changed the name) for 26 years and found it an excellent employer. In the RCA days they established an employee/customer focused culture which continues though it was moderated somewhat by GE's bottom line focus and also a bit by MM/LM customer focus. Through it all, the company has been very good at attracting, developing, and keeping talented employees. Unfortunately, today's economy does not favor defense companies."
