"I worked for Kiewit for about 1.5 years and they treated everyone well."
"Kiewit is one of the biggest and strongest players in the Construction Industry across North America. Being a large infrastructure company, Kiewit has got a lot of boxes ticked when it tries to set the right workplace. From a technology standpoint, Kiewit has stayed current and latest. They have fantastic resources but have the challenge to maximize the potential of their employees, but otherwise a great company to work for"
"Kiewit is a great company to work for. Everyone, that I have worked with, are happy to help and make new employees feel like part of the team on day 1. They provide many opportunities development and have a healthy work-life balance."
"I've worked for Kiewit twice in my career. Very well established Civil company with vast knowledge to learn from. Kiewit has always put their employees first and strives to promote within."
"I worked for Kiewit Corporation under their power division. Kiewit shared many strong core values but they placed one above all, safety. The first question they asked me before working there was "What do you know about safety on the job site?" Kiewit is a great company that puts their employees over the projects because they care your safety."
"I worked for Kiewit and that is the best training company there is out there. Good hard working people, who work hard and play hard."
"kiewit company is a good safety and money maker company to work for it."
"I worked for Kiewit Infrastructure West Co. for around a year and a half starting right out of college. I learned a great deal from this company because not only did they have great systems in place for work, they also trained the new and young engineers consistently. I was able to get a full experience of construction in the time I was there and I implore anyone who wants to dive right into high intensity work to do so. The hours are 50 minimum a week and thats just when the project is new or you are estimating in the head office. Most of the time when construction is in full swing, hours will range from 60-80 hours a week. They have many resources and connections that you can potentially use to create your own construction or work strategies and plans."
"I was hired as a superintendent, if you know Kiewit they don't do that at all. I always felt like an outsider. once the project was over my only offer was in Minnesota. I turned it down. I put in 14 months 6 and 7 12s. I moved on locally."
"The company and projects are over staffed making the job difficult. If you enjoy being micromanaged this the plane for you"
"Great place to work, Very Safety oriented"
"Great company to work for. Schedules can be hectic, but overall a great environment."
"I've worked with Kiewit since 2018 and although they are one of the largest and most successful construction companies in the world they do not treat their employees with the best intent. If you are field operations you will work 70-80 hours a week and almost every Saturday. You will get to build very cool projects but the structures on the jobs are not organized. Kiewit talks about how their employees are their "number one asset" but they will also tell you how replaceable you are every week."
"Kiewit leads with 4 core values represent People, Integrity, Excellence, and Stewardship. Employees at Kiewit are performance driven due to the culture the company embodies. Kiewit is a family. If an employee leaves the company 9 times out 10 they return."
"Preach Safety and all that goes out of the window on site. Whatever it takes to get the job done. Numerous Safety Violations and general disregard for the employees. Way too much construction politics"
