I learned a great deal from this company because not only did they have great systems in place for work, they also trained the new and young engineers consistently. I was able to get a full experience of construction in the time I was there and I implore anyone who wants to dive right into high intensity work to do so. The hours are 50 minimum a week and thats just when the project is new or you are estimating in the head office. Most of the time when construction is in full swing, hours will range from 60-80 hours a week. They have many resources and connections that you can potentially use to create your own construction or work strategies and plans."

If you are field operations you will work 70-80 hours a week and almost every Saturday. You will get to build very cool projects but the structures on the jobs are not organized. Kiewit talks about how their employees are their "number one asset" but they will also tell you how replaceable you are every week."
