"Freedom to develop myself professionally. I could have decided to learn Maya and it would have been possible. I learned how to install and manage a deployment service and Hyper-V because of this job."

"They are re-org. So everything has changed. Fort Collins is probably the best place to relocate to get a job with HP."

What don't you like about working at HP Software?

"The wishy washy management. My manager did not need me as an employee; he had me because he didn't want to do the work. The company busted him and they had to end the contract."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Hire people who can do the work. My manager did not know how to support the machines he was in charge of supporting. He is an electrical engineer by trade; move him to that and hire someone who knows support for support purposes."

"Progressive, but shrinking operations. A lot of outsourcing also."

"Recommendations from manufacturing not seriously taken by labs."

"To be more open-minded."

"Too many layers of management in the early 1990 and they were into processes rather than results."

"Pay market rate and promote from with in, when possible."

"Very poor company to work for, due to the economy they do not hire full time HP employees. All hired are contract employees."

"A fast paced environment that was dynamic and fun."

"I would not recommend HP at this time due to the fact that you would only be a contract employee."

"Being a contract employee leaves you with no rights as an employee."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Management allowed sub-contracted companies that supported HP to haev to much control of the process. HP was ultimately responsible for the outcome of projects to Bank of America, but we controled very little of the process."

"Increase salary, more working space in terms of personal responsibility."

"Staff management was the the agency. Don't work for them."

"Didn't like it at all. I was working over night for the second time."

"Hire real technicians and decrease service calls"

"All contractors were terminted after out boss took early retirement. I'd have gladly stayed there full time."

"Please don't think of contractors as so expendable."

Lead cross functional and cross department communication of documentation process changes. Ensure clear communication between CBO and the rest of the entities. Kept other departments informed of upcoming programs."
