What do you like about working at Intertape Polymer Group?
"The atmosphere is generally laid-back, they have a nice Christmas Party every year, and get donuts sometimes for employee appreciation."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be cautious - this company has good work-experience potential, but you'll definitely have to deal with some crazies."
What don't you like about working at Intertape Polymer Group?
"In the department I worked in, the team was very dramatic. They liked picking an outcast (kind of like the cliques in high school) and would rotate who they picked-on from week to week. It's very detrimental to the other employees, and not a welcoming work environment. The people I dealt with were in their 40s too, which doesn't speak to their maturity. Some of these people had put in 10+ years with the company, so they'll probably be around for a while longer. Look out - they purposefully got a few people fired for undeserving reasons, and then lied to upper management to cover their butts! I definitely tiptoed around while I worked there! Glad I've moved on now."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Upper Management should check on mid-management more frequently. They typically had a hands-off approach, and middle-management got away with a lot of shady things as a result."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"I would not recommend interviewing for Thinaire unless you absolutely must take a job."
What don't you like about working at Thinaire?
"Employees are not taken care of. You are expected to behave as a full-time employee (i.e. arrive at 9:30, work through lunch, leave at 6:30), but you are treated as a contract employee (no benefits, terrible salary). There is also very poor communication amongst management and employees. For company of 12, that should not be the case."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"It's simple. Management needs to take better care of their employees, and I'm not just talking about offering benefits and a fair salary. This company does not even have a microwave or coffee machine for their employees. It's the small things like that that illustrate how little they value their employees."
What do you like about working at Community Newspaper Group?
"The ability to work independently (trust from employers) & the people I work with. Its great to work with people that care about their company and are doing a good job."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"I would say that if people are eager to learn and grow in the design industry, CNG would not fulfill their needs after the first year of employment."
What don't you like about working at Community Newspaper Group?
"One of the reasons I am leaving is that I felt I was not challenged enough at the job. The company offers a great opportunity for a good entry level position, however, after being there for more than a year, I felt I was not able to reach my full potential because of the lack of challenge and room for advancement in the company."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"My only suggestion would be to have more frequent meetings between the sales and production department, to ensure that the process runs smoothly from beginning to completion."

"Must be willing to sacrifice and be a team player. Also must be able to multitask and be able to produce high quality work under pressure and deadlines."

"That I have to work every other weekend and every holiday which are not included in my vacation days, no benefits, and mainly that I do not see growth potential when I work extremely hard and have proven myself to be a valuable employee."

"That they take care of future employees that are very valuable and have a lot to offer so they aren't basically forced to seek other employment options."

"Well being a male working in the beauty industry was difficult to adjust to. But I modified my style to the branding of the company and worked well with the Art Director to meet the goals of whatever it was I was working on."

"Don't hire too many people only to have your company bomb in the 4th quarter and you have to get rid of nearly half of them."

"The work involves the safety of students living on campus, which is rewarding and fun. Interacting with Residence Hall staff and residents is informative and fun."

"Be honest with yourself and management as to whether you are truly up to the duties expected of the staff. Being able to keep calm and think clearly under pressure are a must."

"Late night hours (8pm-4am) can be taxing and sometimes interfere with other responsibilities. Also, there occasionally be social drama between coworkers that makes team cohesion a challenge."

"The drive to work is short, that is about it."

"I work in the corporate office, so my feedback doesn't apply to the retail stores or warehouses."
What don't you like about working at Smyth Automotive?
"The office is freezing cold all year. My computer is so out of date, saving documents take up half of the time I'm in the office. My position has no room for growth and is dictated by managers that don't understand what my job takes to get things done properly."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Delineate who is in charge of what. If managers complain about not having input but refuse to participate, then step aside and let the work get done without you. It's ok to not have your name on everything, but don't whine and moan when it takes time to get it done."
