"I like the environment and the vehicles. Cars are what I like to do, and something I am always looking to improve."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be honest, work hard, and always remember that it is a company that really represents the core values of honesty, non-discrimination, and effort."
What don't you like about working at General Motors?
"I dislike the growth potential. The problem is that, due to the bankruptcy, GM has slowed its programs in Mexico, basically removing the possibility of growing within GM more than what the US can grow. At this point, even the temporal assignments are almost inexistent and are almost unique for the US positions."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"None. They are doing their best to keep the talent, and trying to promote my efforts as much as possible. The problem is, I really don't want to wait until GM thinks it's okay for the Mexico unit to grow again."
"Great place to work. One of the best jobs I've ever had."
"I joined General Motors in 2016 as an Operations Engineer. GM has had a rough history, dating back more than 100 years, but are currently rockstars in the industry as they lead in technologies that will drive them into the future. They give extremely generous benefits, and have earned the name “Generous Motors”. The best part of the company is their level of respect they hold for each employee, and will stand by them should anything go wrong."
"I have worked for GM for 17 years. GM is a good company which treats all employees with respect."
"GM is very good and rewarding. It is a pleasant and great company."
"I worked for GM as a design engineer. The workplace culture is friendly and authentic. Supervisors empower you to succeed. The compensation is excellent and above-average. Highly recommended!"
"I’ve worked for General Motors for 3 years and we have about 4000 employees"
"I have worked for the General Motors IT department for 2 and a half years as a Portfolio Analyst. It's a great place to work. Good benefits and lots of holidays. The work is challenging and interesting. The only downside is that they have work from work policy. Working from home is a rare opportunity."
