"Try to hire a chief engineer that is truly qualified to hold that position, not just someone because they have been there 40 years."

"The fact that I spend most of my time doing other departments work. The fact that I have to set-up and take down equipment that production and sanitation departments should be doing."

"Try using HR and the job descriptions as a basic for disqualifying people that aren't preforming their job, instead of having engineering do it."

"Racism, lack of ledership, double standards, and there was a lot of favoratism to some employees......"

"Jack, Paul, the enegineering supervisors did know how to show leadership qualities required for their postion."

"When I started with the company back in 2001, it the organizational culture was warm like a family environment."

"Make sure you have your EIT or PE. This company only hires people who meet certain criteria. People skills do not matter to upper management."

"The company has been changed hands at least twice since then and has more of a cold, corporate culture. Do not get too friendly with management and your coworkers."

"Listen to your employees concerns and address them."

"I have been working at BSC for 16 years in cardiovascular department. With closing cardiovascular department everybody including me has been laid off. Great company. Great leadership, good benefits."

"Don't plan any long vacations."
What don't you like about working at Northrop Grumman?
"Silo structure (functional area) of organization. Company is not project oriented. Vacation / sick time / personal time off policy is not very good, and seems to get worse until one hits 15 years of service. Management is too willing to give the customer an unrealistically optimistic construction schedule."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Be tougher in negotiations with the customer, be more generous with personal time off for employees (even if wages go a little lower)."
