"Joico had and still has great hair products. It loved selling and managing the sales reps, along with educating hair stylists."

"The company no longer exists. If they were in businsess, they like to see aggressive sales techniques."
What don't you like about working at Joico?
"There were not any downfalls, but the company was bought out and no longer used sales reps to sell to salons."

"The management was very professional and we were on the same page."

"Executive mis-management and investment companies taking over without any baking experience."

"More of a balance in executive positions of experience and new ideas."

"Spent more money on training sales representatives and advertising on products."

"The people I work with and my boss. I enjoy the freedom of working from home."

"It is a great group of people that I work with, but there are a great deal of road blocks that don't seem to have an end in sight."

"The uncertainity after recently being bought out and the reduced feeling of teamwork."

"More communication amongst the team. Need to have information available to keep customers up to date."
What do you like about working at MarketSource?
"With always being in the field, it was sometimes difficult to create culture. But... managers (at a distance) did the best they could in nurturing a collaborative team effort via periodic and regularly scheduled phone conferences. Managers were good at not micro managing as well. Communication from the office was always good. It kept us informed and we felt we belonged to a greater effort."

"You must be able to think independently, be self motivated, and self managed."
What don't you like about working at MarketSource?
"Being in the field, there was a disconnect with the main office, and that impacted communication."

"Have more contact via emails, letters, and/or videos from the President as to direction and how the company was performing."

"My clients and what I am able to do for them."

"No clear strategy so you need to go with the flow."

"The focus is still on print. Not fast enough in changing strategy."

"Create the best products, make the best partnerships in digital and separate the sales force from the print yellow pages."

"I liked working for a company that supported me creating goals and giving me the tools and freedom to reach those goals."

"I woulld suggest that interviewers be enthusiastic about the opportunity and set goals and meet those goals."

"The headquarters was very far from my location. It would have been nice to work out of the headquarters more often."

"I would suggest that management work closer with me in order to help me learn new ways to build the business."

"Great flexibility, you choose who to work with, your schedule, where you live, how to work, etc."

"Make sure they know that you are a closer, an old school sales guy that gets the PO. Even if it is not true, that is exactly the type of salesperson they think they want."
What don't you like about working at Aprilaire?
"The vision of the company is, at times, questionable. It's definitely not a sexy job."

"Ask questions! ...Of your employees, of your customers, of your distributors. If you cared to ask, everyone will tell you what we should focus on to be the best."

"Make sure you have high energy. Aldo is a brand, so make sure it is a brand you want to represent."

"Some leaders can play favorites. It just depends on the leader themselves."

"Good luck. Interview process is intense. All day interviews. Be prepared."

"Value personnel more. Listen to employees more about how to make sure customers are happy."

"The company is now closed so there really is no advivce that is needed."

"Company closed or I would still be there. It is hard going from a six figure income to being over qulified for most open postions."

"I would have been against them bringing back a dinosaur that thought we were in the 90s and not in the middle of a recession."
