We believe we can enable science better than any other business model. I invite all of you to challenge this strategy, as only a strategy that is “owned” by all VWR associates is going to be successful."
"I love to be the HR-Director, I have over 20 years experience."
"I enjoy my job in Human Resources. It's something I have a passion for and I believe I excel at."
"I enjoy working in the HR field. Seeing people learn and grow in their fields is very rewarding. I love working with people, seeing them achieve goals, and enjoying their work. Sometimes, the same thing is what I hate about the profession. The people can be stubborn and hard to deal with. But I just remind myself that they're human, like I am, and we can get through most any situation with that in mind."
"I love developing people and watching them grow. I feel a sense of pride when an employee feels comfortable to come talk with me. Hate is a hard word for me but I would prefer to avoid people who are dishonest and want to inflict pain on others."

What do you like about working at Balihoo?
"Balihoo's senior management empowers employees to have an opinion and to voice that opinion. Employees that have strong work ethic and work product, and are willing to stand up for what they believe in, find a lot of opportunity at Balihoo."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be the expert in your domain. Ask lots of questions. Balihoo looks for people that take initiative and have passion in what they do - if this doesn't come across in the interview, you won't be considered."
What don't you like about working at Balihoo?
"Benefits (medical and dental) are improving, but still could use some work. A broader management team has been created that increases female leadership within the company, but I'd still like to see a woman on the board or the executive team."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Keep leading the effort for transparency on the decision-making process as the team grows. It's important for all employees to have insight into the direction of the company. Stay connected to all employees as the company grows, stay accessible."
