What do you like about working at Valeo?
"As an understaffed workplace I was able to show my many talents because I had to wear many hats. I was able to not only do my regular job (design engineer) but I was also able to be program manager, sales engineer and industrial engineer."

"as an understaffed environment sometimes you were not able to complete certain assignments as necessary."

"look for other ways to save money besides cutting head count."

"If you really need a good paying job go to the interview, otherwise , skip the place no one wants to hire one of their workers so your better off not becoming an Almet employee in the long run"

"Everything but the money and benefits, the place is a hole. Never move to work with them, find another place that pays decent but less if possible"

"My intent was to be a design / structural engineer at Pratt but, I was placed in a Fast Track program that placed me in the Project engineer position."
What do you like about working at Pratt & Whitney?
"The ability to work on world class rocket and gas turbine engines was satisfying."

"Be ready for anything."
What don't you like about working at Pratt & Whitney?
"Large companies like Pratt have the power to close entire facilities forcing employees to relocate to undesirable locations."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Don't lie to employees. When I took the structural engineer position in gas turbines, I asked about the relocation topic. I was told that has been a rumor since the 1970's only to be told that my job was moving to Hartford by the same person I just quoted."

What do you like about working at NASA?
"Being a part of such an important part of history and no matter how small, it is still a major accomplishment. I was one of the few lucky people that can say I worked for NASA!!!"

"They are looking for very friendly personable people, it literally is working in very close contact with various individuals. There are very many grandfathered-in employees who see change as a thread to their ability and knowledge."
What don't you like about working at NASA?
"Sometimes there was down time between jobs due to the bureuacracy of working with various governmental agencies."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Have planned trainings prepared for these down times."

"It was a good place to start my career, but those divisions closed up in San Diego in the '80s."

"It was a great place to learn and grow into a working professional."

"There was a lot of overly burdensome processes associated with military contracting, but that, in and of itself was a good teacher."

What do you like about working at GreenbergFarrow?
"I enjoyed the team that I was with. It was a group that worked together to ensure a project was done with quality and in timely basis. As a group we stood up for each other and we submitted work as a group."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be honest. Don't feel like you have to hide a weakness that you have. Rather admit to it but also show them that you have a plan to strengthen yourself in that area."
What don't you like about working at GreenbergFarrow?
"There were some some turf wars between branch offices and the corporate offices that ended up wasting time and resources."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"The management at the coorporate office needs to try to resolve turf wars quickly but fairly to all those involved. But also allow the branch offices some flexability. The branch offices know their area and work to stick to the areas standards and styles of doing business."
