What do you like about working at Dell?

"User base was great, all adults, team managers communicated well."

What don't you like about working at Dell?

"Lack of IT Equipment/process support, our site was acquired in a buy out and treated like a red headed step child budget wise even though Equallogic made huge money for Dell. Servers and backup devices that were business imperative were denied support as it didn't fit their ideal model but they would not do anything, but I was responsible to keep it all working, some equipment over 10 years old!"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Replace with suggested equipment, open ports between domains to allow licenses to work, increase capacity of new but incapable backup system. Support Email archives. Many others over the years."

"I worked for dell for several years. The company does a great job of promoting internal growth. There is however a fair amount of internal politics, which is always to be expected in large companies. This can sometimes get in the way of projects moving forward. There's always a lot of unnecessary meetings as well."

What do you like about working at Dell?
