"it was an easy job where there enviroment was somewhat tolerable but a place to hang"

"Main boss did not want to hear bad news so it was difficult to work with him when you did have a problem."

"The people that work for me are hard working, most of my equals are as well."
What don't you like about working at American Airlines?
"There is too much bureaucratic BS going on. The good managers are stifled while the bad ones are promoted. If you have conflict of ideas with one upper manager your career is pretty much over. There is an absurd amount of favoritism."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Keep concerned about the operation and the people, don't have lower managers do upper managers' dirty work. Maybe more time should be spent in the operation observing, not skirt chasing."
