"The executive management team on too many occasions seemed to not be aware (or maybe not care) on the processes necessary to get the job done at times."

"Listen to the workforce more closely, become familiar with processes in place, understand that a decision that affects one area can have a profound affect on another."

"Always think out of the box and have fun with every project."

"The only thing I can say I didn't like was the low income and the unsteadiness of the work. One week I would have a number of jobs and the next I would have none."

"A more stricter schedule as to what work needs to be completed when and a knowledge of which jobs are more important to complete before others."

"I'm the founder, of course it's a great place. Flexible, creative, fun."
What do you like about working at Vizualle?
"I get to work with really challenging and creative projects. I juggle many projects every day. I talk with my clients on a daily basis and I enjoy it. I don't advertise, so keeping my clients happy is key as they refer their colleagues, and keep working with me for years. I like creating the proposals too, including timelines, deliverables, etc. Wearing many hats is hard, but also very rewarding."

"Vizualle is a very creative studio and does great work."
What don't you like about working at Vizualle?
"I miss the interaction with other designers and creative minds. Sure, I bring my team memebers to the proejcts, so often I will have one more designer contributing to the design phase, or a project manager coming in to assist with a website planning - but many times I take care of all that on my own too."

"Management is awesome! Well, I'm the manager, so it's not very fair..."

"Corporate politics, abuse of power, dishonesty, not adequate compensation for the job performed."

"Treat your employees with respect and they will respect you. Don't lie to them and use them as scapegoats. Take notice when a manager has an extremely high turnover rate of employees."

"I'm self-employed. I like being my own boss and playing a pivotal role in deciding a company's online strategy. Developing a core message that has impact and is powerful means that I'm doing my job. Translating that message interactively and visually leaves a long lasting impression on that businesses brand equity thats very valuable."

"Make sure your portfolio is unique and not part of a style guide. Understand the principles of business and what it means to service clients."
What don't you like about working at Ballistic Designs?
"Because I'm self-employed I wear a lot of hats. This can be stressful. There is a lot of responsibility in running your own company."

"Hire a sales person to help drive sales. Delegate projects more to freelance pool."

"I was a founding partner and principle. The pressure was enormous but I would not trade the experience for anything."

"Plenty but since they are interviewing for the same position I think I'll hold my cards a little close to my chest. :-)"

"As a start-up it is challenging to keep a small firm afloat in these trying economic times."

"Hire the best. Let them do their best. Watch your budget."

"I love that I am able to take the creative lead and run with it. I love what I do!"

"You should be prepared to work 80plus hours a week."
What don't you like about working at Sugar Factory?
"The owner of the company is a complete disaster. Recently convicted of tax fraud, he has let the entire company crumble around him, financially. As a result as how bad finances are, he forced me to fire my entire team, but requires me to still do all the work as if they were all still there. My vendors have quit working with us since they can't even get paid. I fear this company is a sinking ship, and just feel it will be best to part ways sooner rather than later."

"The only solution that could possibly solve all these problems is if the investors some how got rid of the owner."

"Be clear in getting a detail outline of your job responsibilities and what would be expected of you."
What don't you like about working at Canon?
"There is no clear direction from senior management, I have no decision making ability all has to funnel up to senior management. Poor work environment and there is little regards for employees unless they are in a high position in the company."

"Improve communication with employees, empower mid management to make decisions (it only helps to improve the efficiencies)."
